Mark earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Oregon School of Music where he studied guitar performance and improvisation, jazz theory, and composition. He then began work as a paralegal in family law and enrolled in evening classes at Lewis & Clark Law School. Mark graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2017 and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar the same year.

In addition to his experience in family law, Mark also has significant courtroom experience for a new lawyer. Mark represented the State of Oregon as an intern at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office during his final year at Lewis & Clark Law School. He tried multiple cases to juries, argued motions, and conducted criminal hearings on a daily basis.

In his spare time, Mark is an avid cyclist and enjoys working with his hands on carpentry and mechanical projects.
